About me

My name is Alua Tazhbayeva, and I am a third-year student at Savannah College of Art and Design, pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Motion Media Design with a minor in Advertising: Art Direction.
Originally from Kazakhstan, I moved to the United States with my family in 2013. I work under the design name tzhb, a shortened version of my last name, Tazhbayeva. Derived from the Kazakh word “Tazhbai,” meaning “crown,” the name reflects my cultural heritage and the pride I take in my background.
My motion design practice is deeply influenced by my personality and creative perspective. I am particularly drawn to experimental and glitch aesthetics, exploring unconventional visual narratives and dynamic compositions. In addition to motion design, I have a strong interest in fashion styling and branding photography, which further inform and expand my multidisciplinary approach to visual storytelling.
